music bio

If you’re drawn to traditional roots music and "Down From The Mountain Gospel" you’re sure to be elated with recording artist and songwriter Pamela Stansberry. This multi-talented artist has a spectacular voice that is rich with emotion and authentic soul, as are her artfully crafted songs. Pamela’s Appalachian nuances spring from growing up in East Tennessee where her family still resides. It has been said by a notable Nashville publisher that her songs are “Timeless–traditional, yet no way confined by the fashion of the day.”

The musical influences in Pamela Stansberry’s life have been diverse. She has a classically trained voice, performing several seasons as member of the Nashville Symphony. Yet, it has always been her heritage that brought her back to a roots-based “Americana” music, inspired by Appalachian folk music and hymns.

In 1988, the artist moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and from the very beginning Pamela began making an impression on the Nashville music scene as an up and coming artist and songwriter. She played regularly at the Bluebird Cafe, Exit Inn, Ace Of Clubs, 12 & Porter, as well as many other renowned music venues.

However, music ministry with her church continues to be an important priority. Over the years Pamela Stansberry has shared the stage with an fascinating assortment of highly respected musical talent: such as John Prine, Ben Folds, Fleming & John, Deana Carter and many more.

There are many interesting aspects of Pamela Stansberry as an artist and a person which are embodied into her art form–and her art is not limited to music. Pamela is also a nationally published columnist and will be publishing a book called, Attainable Saint, due for release in 2009. She is also a gifted visual artist and healer.
